We will take a tour through the history of Roman Tarraco by looking at its monuments. We will visit its oldest, the Roman wall, and its newest, the Amphitheater. On our journey we will also visit the Praetorium Tower and the vaults of the Roman Circus.

In the year 218 BC, following the war against Hannibal, the Romans arrived in what is now Tarragona. How did that first settlement become the main Roman provincial capital of the peninsula? What was that ancient Tarraco, visited by Julius Caesar saw or Emperor Augustus, like? All this and much more on a a route that will introduce us us to the city’s Roman past.
